Obituary of Maurice E. Black :

INDUSTRY - Maurice Edward Black, 80, of rural Industry died at 7:15 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, 1994, at Macomb Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Macomb.

Born Dec. 9, 1913, near Doddsville in McDonough County to John R. and Mary Runkle Black.

He married Dorothy Kellum on April 25, 1933, in Palmyra, Mo. She survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Peggy Vail of Lake Mills, Wis.; one son, Jim of Pontiac; one brother, Scott of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

One brother preceded him in death.

He farmed most of his life, retiring in 1991. He also sold seed corn for Pioneer for more than 30 years.

He was a member of Doddsville Methodist Church.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Clugston-Tibbitts Funeral Home in Macomb. Marshall Litchfield will officiate.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, where family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Burial will be in Doddsville Cemetery in Doddsville.

Memorials may be made to his church.
