Mrs. Taylor was born in Greenville, SC on April 3, 1940, to Sara Dickerson and David Skelton.
Mrs. Taylor received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from Appalachian State University. She also earned credits toward her PhD at the European Graduate School in Leuk Wallis, Switzerland. Mrs. Taylor was a Gamma Beta Phi and Alpha Chi Honor Societies.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Clardy.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by one daughter, Wanda Leigh Taylor Gomez and husband, Jose Luis Gomez Aceves of Dacula, GA; two sons, Clinton Franklin Taylor, Jr. and wife, Jenny Louise of Athens, GA and Michael (Mac) Louis Taylor of Simpsonville, SC; four grandchildren; two sisters, Glenda Hawkins of Charleston, SC and Lynne Linden of Greenville, SC; one brother, Robert E Skelton and wife, Judy of La Jolla, CA.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 24, at 2:00 PM at Baptist Home Baptist Church. Burial will be in church cemetery.
