This is my oldest sister whom I never had the pleasure of meeting, or knowing.
She is the daughter of Alra Sullivan and Margaret (not sure of maiden name)
Norma's Mother was born about 1910 in South Dakota, and died just after Norma's first birthday.
Norma was raised by my Father's parents (her grandparents) in southern Indiana.
It is a little bit confusing, because on the April 9th, 1930 Census, Norma is living with our Father and her Mother in Galesburg, Knox, Illinois, but then on April 13, 1930 she is listed in Pershing, Jackson, Indiana living with our Father's parents.
So, I am guessing that her Mother passed away during those few days between the Illinois and Indiana Census and this is when Dad sent Norma to Indiana to live with his parents here in Indiana????
I hope that someday I am able to add more accurate information for her.
Until then, this is what I do know, Norma is the wife of James T. Givens and the mother of a son, Stephen, who was last known to be living somewhere in California, and her daughter Cathy was married and living somewhere in Florida.
On her death certificate it states that Norma died at 44 years of age due to an Intracerebral Hemorrhage of Brain Stem, Hypertension.
