Deceased Name: RENE FREDETTE

Rene A. Fredette, 73, of 111 Old Liverpool Road, Liverpool, died Wednesday at his home.

A native of Ottawa, Canada, Mr. Fredette lived in Liverpool 36 years. He retired after 32 years with General Electric Co.

Mr. Fredette's hobby, repairing antique furniture, eventually grew into a small business in his home.

He was a charter member of the Empire State Bottle Club.

Surviving are a son, Richard A. of Liverpool; five sisters, Anna Vaillancourt, Isabelle Loucks and Mary Kolodzie, all of Syracuse, Bertha Monica of Baldwinsville and Lillian Kennedy of Mattydale; five brothers, Roland of Altmar, Robert of Virginia and Wilfred, Henry and Donald, all of Syracuse; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Maurer Funeral Home, Liverpool. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 300 Second St.

Contributions may be made to the Liverpool Volunteer Fire Department Ambulance Fund.
