Phelma Jaquetta Smith was born on November 15, 1916 in Longdale, OK to Thomas and Alta (Jordan) Mills. Phelma passed from this life in Spring Hill, KS on Sunday, May 20, 2012, at the age of 95.

Phelma was a hard working mother and friend to many. She was a hero to her children, who admire her and love her for her grace and for being a great role model.

Phelma was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Smith; a brother, James L. Mills; sisters, Lavon Poplin, Crystal Thrasher, Irene Spade, Uarda McBroom and Erma Norris.

She is survived by her two daughters; two sons; one sister; thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and fourteen great great grandchildren.
