Susan M. Bricker Starliper, 62, of Hummelstown, passed away Friday, June 24, 2011, in the Hershey Medical Center. Born in Harrisburg, on July 20, 1948, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Esther M. Fike Bricker. Sue retired from Fresh Express (formerly Verdelli Farms) and had worked as a seamstress for the former Hesteco Dress & Sportswear Manufacturing Company both of Hummelstown. She was a 1967 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School. Sue was a life member of the Rutherford AMVETS Post 286 Ladies Auxiliary; and a member of the Reliance Hose Home Association, Rutherford. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and doing counted cross stitch. Sue is survived by her husband of 33 years, Michael W. Starliper, whom she married on August 13, 1977; and one son, Jonathan M. Starliper of Hummelstown. Memorial services will be held Thursday, June 30, 2011, at 11 a.m. in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Norman A. Evans officiating. Inurnment will be in Grand View Memorial Park, North Annville Township. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home Thursday from 10 a.m., until time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 210 West Main Street, Hummelstown, PA 17036.
