Henry A. Krejci

Funeral services for Henry A. Krejci, 79, of Lusk, was held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2009, at Niobrara County Fairgrounds Auditorium in Lusk, with Pastor Gary Walker of the Lance Creek Community Church officiating.

Henry was born to James H. and Edith M. (Johnson) Krejci July 27, 1929 at Lusk, Wyoming, and grew up on his father's place, which was homesteaded in 1918. We worked for the neighbors in the community, besides helping out at home. He met and married Jean "Marple Joss" Swope at Rapid City, South Dakota on July 8, 1957.

On June 30, 2009 he made his final trip over the Rainbow Bridge, where he joined his many pets and some of his family, before going on "Over the Sunset Mountains" to be with God. He passed away at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne.

Survivors include his wife Jean of Lusk; brother Charley (Ruth); nephews Leroy (Dee) Krejci and Bill (Connie) Krejci, all of Lance Creek; sisters-in-law Barbara Joss of Lusk, Sandra (Warren) Thompson of Colorado, Kalene (Jeff) White of Ashley, Nebraska, and other extended relatives.

The family would appreciate in lieu of flowers donations to Niobrara Health and Life Center, Lusk/Niobrara Ambulance, Niobrara Senior Center, or Niobrara Extension Services with a choice of 4-H or the Homemakers Council.

Henry was well liked and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He always wanted friends, not enemies.

Pier Funeral Home in Lusk is in charge of arrangements.
