Emelia Hindman was the daughter of Robert Hindman and possibly Lucy Harrell. Her family came to Indiana from Spartanburg, South Carolina between 1811 and 1820. There are no graves located for her parents, but Martin County probate records indicate their deaths occurred at the beginning of 1826 in Perry Township. Emelia's sister Margaret Hindman is also buried in this cemetery under the name of Margaret Hindman Baugh. Brothers John B Hindman, memorial #48065995, and Thomas H. Hindman memorial #33887577 are buried elsewhere in Indiana
