William Howard Chittum, age 77, went to be with his daughter, Laraine Chittum on May 21, 2009.

Veteran U.S. Army with honorable mentions. Member Lodge #34 of Aerospace Machinist from 1969 until 1992, when he retired from Kroger Bakery. Avid motorcycle and auto racing enthusiast.

Preceded in death by parents Irene and Bill Chittum and brother Herbert Allen Chittum.

Survived by wife of 57 years, Marian; son, William (Robin) Chittum; daughters, Judy (Jerry) Dennis, Anita (Troy) Justus; grandchildren, Jason Dennis, Jeremy Dennis, Linzie Justus, Zachary Justus; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jason, Jenna, Issac and Justin; special friends, Eddie Boggs, Dan Doersan, Chuck Linnton and Earl Starkey.

Friends may call at JERRY SPEARS FUNERAL HOME, 2693 W. Broad St., from 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday. Graveside service and interment 11 a.m. Saturday at Sunset Cemetery, 6959 W. Broad St. Rev. P.K.
