Robert E. "Bobby" Dunn, 72, of Memphis, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at his home.

He was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, president of the Germantown Optimist Club in 1975 and coached for many youth athletic leagues.

Bobby was part of the original Memphis Music Industry in the 1960's with his brother, Donald "Duck" Dunn at King Records.

He transitioned into the food industry with Rich Products and later opened his own business, Food Service Brokers of Memphis, Tennessee.

He was a gentle man who never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor.

Mr. Dunn is survived by his wife, Rose M. Dunn; daughter, Jo Beth Dunn of Cordova; son, Brad Dunn of Memphis; sister, Lois Weakley of Memphis; brother, Charles "Charlie" Dunn of Horseshoe Lake, AR; and one grandson, Dylan Dunn.

The family will receive friends this evening, Sunday, May 20 from 5-7 p.m. at Family Funeral Care. Funeral services will be at the funeral home on Monday, May 21 at 10 a.m. with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
