Pauline S. Rogers Age 96, of Jackson, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at Arbor Manor Care Center in Spring Arbor.
She was born December 31, 1910 at Silver Creek, Michigan near Plainwell, the daughter of Emmet and Mary (Bellingham) Bliss who owned the Crystal Springs Stock Farm.
She is survived by sons, Roland D. Rogers of Riverside, CA, and Dan (Joan) Rogers of Jackson; grandchildren, Danny (Margy) Rogers of San Jacinto, CA, Rhonda (Randall) Reisner of Gravette, AK, Machelle (Danny) Lopez of Claremont, CA; six great-grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dudley T. Rogers; brother, Homer; sisters, Mabel and Galdys; and daughter-in-law, Irene.
Pauline was a devoted wife and homemaker. She was also civic minded and active in various clubs an organizations, including the Child Study Club of Woodville and the PTA where she became the President of the Jackson County Council of PTA's. She was also a long time member of the Christ Lutheran Church.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staffs of Arbor Manor Care Home and Great Lakes Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
Funeral services will be held at the Wetherby Chapel on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jim Watson officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Interment will take place at Roseland Memorial Gardens.
Friends who wish may direct memorial contributions to the Christ Lutheran Church of Michigan Center or to Great Lakes Hospice.
