"Mr. Bingham Ex-Teacher, Is Buried
Retired school teacher Lee D. Bingham was buried in the Scottsburg Cemetery, Saturday afteroon, following a 2:30 p.m., funeral service in the Gene H Vest Funeral Home, Rev. William Heck was the officiating minister.

Bingham, 79, died Wednesday, April 3, at 9 a.m., at his home with a son, Harrison, on Route 1, Scottsburg. He had been ill several weeks with a heart ailment, the cause of his death. He lived with his son for the past 19 years.

His parents, both deceased, were Joshua Bingham and Mary Ann Spence Bingham. His wife, Lydia Bowles, Bingham, proceeded her husband in death.

Survivors in addition to the son are: another son, Calloway Bingham of North Vernon; four daughters: Mrs. George (Dorothy) Ward, of Seymour, Mrs. Flora Henry, Mrs. Beatrice Whitsitt and Mrs. Jean Stowell, all of Clifford; one sister, Mrs. Etta Coffey, of Jackson County, Ky.; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren."
