Shirley J. Johnson, 65, of Shoals, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 6:00 a.m. at her residence in Shoals. She was born in Whitesburg, KY on June 12, 1946 to Tandy and Susie (Lucas) Craft. She married Donald P. Johnson on August 28, 1963 in Lawrenceville, Illinois.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband Donald of Shoals
Four daughters: Joanie Johnson of Plainville
Norma Collis of Plainville
Donna Boyd of Plainville
Nancy Reed of Shoals
One son William Joseph Johnson of French Lick
Three sisters and two brothers.
Eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, ten step-grandchildren, and several step-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Richard Johnson on May 7, 2005, five brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be from 1:30 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the Queen-Lee Funeral Home in Shoals, with funeral services on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery in Shoals.
