On January 26, 1865, she was married to William Wallace Fewell of Missouri in Arkansas, where they set up their home.
Their marriage had plenty of heartbreak, as of eight children born to them, it seems that only one grew to adulthood, the others dying shortly after birth or in young childhood. Lizzie became understandably close to this son, Charles Augustus Fewell.
Her husband, William, died in 1897. In 1920, she is living with Charles and his wife, Clara Creamer Fewell.
She died in 1926.
