William served as a Private, Company B, 4th Delaware Infantry during the Civil War.

He enlisted in the 4th Delaware on June 28, 1862.

He entered Tilton Hospital in December, 1863 and "Died Of Disease" of the Heart at the age of 45 during the war.

Gravesite Details Possibly interred in All Saint's Cemetery, Kirkwood Hwy, Wilmington, DE
