Mrs. Margaret Vernon Garey, wife of Major J. E. Garey, died at 9:30 o'clock Tuesday morning at her residence on Lamar avenue. Mrs. Garey was born in Green county, Alabama in March, 1835. Brought to Texas when an infant, she has lived continuously in the state ever since and has been as resident of Houston for 45 years. The funeral will take place Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from the Church of the Annunciation, Rev. Father Henessey officiating.
