Susan, daughter of John Matthew and Mary (Brumbaugh) Garner was born May 23, 1813. In March 1835 she married Henry Boyer. Henry Boyer was born July 18, 1807 and was a son of Henry and Catharine (Roberts) Boyer. Susan and Henry lived on a farm near Marklesburg, Huntingdon County. Both were members of the Lutheran Church. He died October 6, 1848[sic] and she died April 8, 1884[sic]. They had six children: John, Samuel H., Matthew G., Henry S., Mary Jane and Andrew Summers.
