AUGUSTA SPRINGS — Frank Edward "Ed" Furrow, 66, of Augusta Springs died Thursday evening, May 17, 2012, at the Hunter McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond. He was born June 9, 1945, in Welch, W.Va., the son of the late Cleve and Gracie Bott Furrow.

He was married to his loving wife of 21 years, Nancy Furrow. He was a member of Craigsville Holiness Church. He worked at the Craigsville Library and most recently, Augusta Springs Post Office. During the Vietnam War era, Ed proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; five brothers, James, Robert, Harvey, Carl and Jerry; two sisters, Catherine and Francis; and a special great-niece, Kaycee Gladwell. He was preceded in death by seven sisters and three brothers.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2012, at Craigsville Holiness Church, with Brothers Garey Wilson and Rodney Olinger officiating. Burial will follow at Miller Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Larry Welcher, Hampton Cash, Garry Welcher, Brain "J.R." Moran, Cody Welcher and Jacob Wiseman.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Craigsville Funeral Home.
