Mrs. Blackwell was a native of Mississippi and a homemaker. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include her husband, Curtis Blackwell of Picayune; two daughters, Mary Rose Singletary of Slidell and Georgia Mae Blackwell of Picayune; a son, James C. Blackwell of Pearl River, La.; two sisters, Mandy Mitchell and Kathrine Persinger; two brothers, William Varnado and Harvey Ray Varnado, all of Picayune; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune. A service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Picayune with burial in the church cemetery.
