Emil J. Sherer, 64, of 238 Beech St., Gladwin, died Friday, May 19, following a long illness. A resident here since last November, he had moved here from Holland, Mich. Mr. Sherer was dead on arrival at the hospital. Born in Bay City April 27, 1908, he and Winnie Carnahan were married December 31, 1943, in Detroit.
Surviving are his wife, Minnie; a step-son; three brothers; four sisters, and three step-grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin, with the Rev. Gerald Locher officiating, and burial was in Highland Cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 5-24/1972 Column – 3 Page – 2.
