Klayte Thomas Welch, age 14, of Bandera, passed away Saturday, May 25, in Bandera.
He was born on August 27, 1993, in San Antonio, to Clifton Matthew Welch and Brandye Lyn Moore Reininger.
Klayte had just finished his eighth grade year at Bandera Middle School. He was outgoing, loved people and was good with anyone he met. Klayte also assisted with the Special Olympics. He also loved the river and animals.
Klayte is survived by his parents, Brandy Reininger of Pipe Creek and Matt Welch of Bandera; grandparents Pat and Charlene Moore of New Braunfels, and Kenneth and Betty Welch of Bandera; great-grandparents Warren and Dorine Wheeler of Bandera, and Gordon and Wanda Moore of Vega; sister Lacey Welch of Pipe Creek; brother Trystan Reininger of New Braunfels; uncle Andrew Moore; and aunt Jenni Welch, as well as by numerous great aunts, great uncles and cousins.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 28, at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Bandera with Brother Jim Dunn officiating. Interment followed at Oak Rest Cemetery in Medina.
Arrangements were entrusted to Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera.
