Levi died in sometime in the 1870's in Illinois.
In the 1880 U.S. Census she is widowed living with her daughter, Helena, and son-in-law Cavit Hogg in Mercer County, Illinois.
During the 1880's she came to Kansas with her daughter's family.
In 1885 she is living with daughter, H.M. Hogg, and family in Wichita, Sedgwick County, Kansas. Her daughter died eight months before Mariah leaving a young family with her husband J.C. Hogg. Both mother and daughter are buried in Hollis Cemetery.
