Sherry Sue Patton, 62, of Durham, N.C., formerly of Cave-in-Rock passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2012 in Durham. She was born February 24, 1950 in Eldorado, the daughter of Gilbert and Norma (McDowell) Patton.

Sherry was a Real Estate Broker and Bridal Consultant and also a member of the Resurrection United Methodist Church.

Sherry is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Clem of Durham N.C. and Christina Taylor of Mebane, N.C.; one sister, Arlene Patton of Mt. Vernon, Ill.; one brother, Steven Patton of Plano, Tex.; and one grandchild, Ariel Stinnett of Mebane, N.C.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be a graveside service for Sherry on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Noon. Those attending should go directly to Cave Hill Cemetery in Cave-in-Rock. Brother Ron McDowell will be officiating. Vickery Funeral Chapel in Equality is in charge of local services and condolences may be made at the website, www.vickeryfuneralchapel.com.
