Frederick A. Ludwig, 93, of 605 S. State Street, Chilton, died Sunday at Chilton Village Nursing Home.
He was born April 11, 1891, in the town of Stockbridge, a son of Frank and Magdelina Ludwig.
On April 2, 1913, he married Lucy Hemauer at Kloten. He was employed by the Calumet County Highway Department, the Kaytee Company of Chilton and was a driver for Pfeffer Ambulance Services, Chilton. He had also farmed in the towns of Stockbridge and Charlestown.
He drove school bus for 24 years for Chilton School District.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Chilton, and the Chilton Eagles Club 1288.
Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Woelfel of Chilton; one son, Gilbert of New Holstein; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Lorraine DeKarske of Sheboygan; and one brother, Edmund of Brothertown.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.
The funeral Mass was at St. Mary Catholic Church, Chilton. The Rev. Paul Brick was celebrant. Burial was in the parish cemetery.
