Widow of Former Town Clerk Dies in 90th Year

Mrs. Ella M. Maine Palmer, 89, widow of former Town Clerk Charles A. Palmer, died Saturday night at The Elms Nursing Home, Westerly, after a long illness.

She was born in North Stonington, Nov. 25, 1875, daughter of Nathan N. and Mary E. Rathbun Main.

She was a member of the Clarks Falls Baptist Church. Her only survivor is a brother, Grover C. Maine of Clarks Falls.

The funeral will be held at the Schilke Funeral Home, Westerly at 2 p.m. tomorrow. Interment will be in Peabody Cemetery, North Stonington.
