My grandparents from the Rev War.

Susannah Twitty was married to Captain William John Twitty who was killed by Indians while traveling with Daniel Boone on the Wilderness Trail/Trace to Kentucky (Twitty's Fort). His slave, Sam (who tried to save his life)was buried beside him near the Twitty Fort Historical Marker. Sam was William Twitty's best friend. He was buried beside him (not behind him) as a place of honor! I am still looking for Sam's relative. I have met many black Twittys, but have yet to find his family.

Susannah later married Colonel William Graham (Battle of Kings's Mountain/Graham's Fort/Fort McFadden).

Susannah and William Twitty had a first daughter named Susannah (Susan) and a first son named William.

Mary Twitty (daughter of Susannah and William) married Alexander McFadden (Fort McFadden).

Susannah had a daughter with Colonel William Graham. Her name was Sarah Elizabeth Graham # 31687904. She married Abraham Irvine # 31687360
