When Florence Lucille Cook was born on April 29, 1904, in Bosque, Texas, her father, James, was 28 and her mother, Nora, was 17. She married Henry Sherman Clountz on December 15, 1928, in Grayson, Texas. They had three children in 24 years. James Henry Clountz, George William Clountz and Natalie Denise Clountz. Florence loved to work on the farm and lived an active life to the end, working in her vegetable garden even on her last day on earth. She died on August 10, 1995, in Pottsboro, Texas, at the age of 91.
