Monna Louise Cantrell of Willis, Oklahoma passed from this life on May 9, 2012 at the age of 83 years, 5 months, and 13 days to live eternally with her Heavenly Father and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Monna was born Nov. 26, 1928, in Whitesboro, Texas to the late William J. and Dovie Viola Harden Woolsey. She was the oldest of eight children. She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Harry Calvin Cantrell Sr., son Harry Calvin Cantrell Jr., great-granddaughter, Gracie Lou Christensen, great-grandson Joshua Hall, sister, Betty Steward, brothers Robert, Aubrey, and Otis Woolsey.
Along with raising five children, Monna was always an energetic person and had many interests and hobbies she pursued and enjoyed throughout her life. With only an 8th grade education, she later attained her GED, she took classes to become an EMT and also managed the Marshall County Ambulance Service with her husband. She was a Sunday school teacher and served as a Pastor's wife in several Baptist Churches in Oklahoma and Texas.

At an early age, she had a passion for sewing and quilting and made many quilts throughout the years and was an accomplished seamstress as well. Along with sewing she learned to upholster furniture and was a self taught pianist.

Monna was also an avid gardener, loved to write poetry and had a passion for painting. The years she was able to have a vegetable garden she enjoyed sharing her rewards with family, friends and neighbors. Monna was also a rock hound, wherever she went on vacation, she was sure to bring home a rock to remind her of that particular trip.

Later in life, Monna and Harry began a new adventure in breeding and raising horses. After Harry passed away Monna continued with their new passion. She was always excited when a new foal was on the way. Raising horses and watching them gave her many hours of pleasure each day.

Monna and Harry embarked on many adventures throughout their married life. And through thick and thin they never left each other's side for 67 years. Together they enjoyed traveling and were able to expose their children to many beautiful wonders in this life. They spent many hours at the ocean fishing and exploring the beaches of California and many State and National Parks along with mission trips to Mexico.
Monna is survived by her children, son William, and wife Ann, Cantrell of Keller, Texas, daughters, Teresa, and husband, David Cook of Pagosa Springs, Colo., Angela, and husband, Keith Fowlkes of Kingston, Okla., son Steve, and wife Patti, Cantrell of Willis, Okla.
