Obituary: Eva Faye Newcomb Carter, 86, of Hugo, OK died Wednesday, June 15, 1994, in Choctaw Memorial Hospital. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 17, in Lampton- Mills and Coffey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randall L. Crumley officiating. Burial will be in Springs Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Carter was born May 10, 1908, in Jennings, Okla., a daughter of John Henry and Ida Lee Thompson Neighbors. She was a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University and did post graduate work in Arizona. She was a retired school teacher. Her first husband, James Elmer Newcomb, died in June 1972. Surviving are her present husband, Clarence L. (Larry) Carter; two sons, John Newcomb of Gillette, Wyo. and James Newcomb of Beaumont, Texas; one daughter, Priscilla Schneider of Annapolis, MD; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three infant sons.
