I. Pearl Wilcox, 86, of Parkersburg, died Feb. 27, 2002, at her residence under Hospice Care.
She was born in Spencer, a daughter of the late T.O. and Radella Linger Miller on Jan. 12, 1916. She was a graduate of Spencer High School and worked for the Viscose and
retired after 37 years of service with the Wood County School Board where she served as a cook for the Fairplains and Franklin elementaries. She was a member of the Camden Avenue Church of Christ.
Survivors include four sons, Robert D. Wilcox and his wife, Margaret A., Dale Wilcox and his wife Sherry, all of Mineral Wells, Tom Wilcox and his wife, Carolyn of Washington, Dave Wilcox and his wife, Nancy of Parkersburg; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Martha Deem and her husband, Lyle of Parkersburg; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clem D. Wilcox in 1998; two brothers, Robert Beryl Miller and Harry Nile Miller; and one sister, Wilma E. Myers.
Services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike Street, south Parkersburg with Brian Jones officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
