On February 10, 1886, she married James Jefferson "Jim" "J.J." Lester in Smith County, and together they were the parents of seven children.

Fannie was survived by her husband "J.J." and all of her children: Lillie Mai "May" (Lester) Clemmons and husband William Isaac; Robert; Thomas Jefferson "Tom" and wife Alene Minerva (Roberson); J. William "Bill"; Frances "Frankie" (Lester) Glover and husband Luther D; Andrew Jackson "Jack" and wife Beulah Maye (Williams); and Sudie (Lester) Fish and husband Rosco. She did not live to see any of the known 17 grand-children born to her children.
