He was born April 5, 1918, in Warren.
He was a longtime area resident and member of the United Methodist Church of Streetsboro. Edison proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eleanor; a daughter, Fran Lawrence of Stow; a son, Tom (Junko) Griffith of Redmond, Wash.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road in Stow, where friends are invited for visitation one hour prior to service time.
Burial will be in Silver Springs Cemetery.
