Alice R. Laymon, 76, of Hazel Dell, died at 11:45 p.m. Friday, August 15, 1997 at Heartland Manor Nursing Home, Casey.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Markwell @ Son Funeral Home, Casey. Brother James Rue officiated. Burial was made in Hazel Dell Cemetery. Visitation was held from noon until funeral time at the funeral home.
She was born March 25, 1921, in Olney, the daughter of Orville Earl and Lulu Shadley Applegate. She married Delbert Laymon in 1947. He died in 1986.
She is survived by several cousins.
She was precededed in death by one daughter.
Mrs. Laymon was the owner of Laymon's Greenhouse in Hazel Dell and a retired housekeeper.

She married Walter Delbert Laymon May 21, 1947 in Casey, Clark County, Illinois, son of Eugene Laymon and Matildia Redmond.
He was born April 11, 1912 in Cumberland Co. Illinois, and died April 29, 1986 at home in Hazel Dell.
