Israel Woodbury Fuller (1831-1862), known as "Woodbury"; during the Civil War he enlisted in Co. E, 12th Iowa Infantry; was killed in the Battle of Shiloh [aka Pittsburg Landing], 20 mi. north of Corinth, MS in April 1862.

He m. Matilda Shaffer (b. 1840/1 in Richland, PA-d. 1900) and had 2 sons: Charles L. (abt. 1858) and James F. (1860-1886, m. Ursula Coffied), both b. in Lester Township, Black Hawk Co., IA. She m. his brother Aaron Burr Fuller (1821-1909) after Israel died.
