Known and beloved to all as "Uncle Dal", the son of Aaron S. Knittle and Sarah Campbell. Dallas did not marry, lived part time in Reading and Kulpmont and Mt. Carmel Pa. with his sister Laura Knittle Evert and his niece, Carrie Evert Karbley. Kept his nephews and nieces sharp and straight. Dallas was also close to his nephew the Rev. Ralph Knittle.
