Ingeborg Nilsdatter was born April 13, 1813 in Vestby u Skjeggenes, Setskog, Norway to Nils and Pernille Engebretsdatter Eskildsen. She married Ole Amundsen in Holand, Norway Oct 25, 1835, and they had 6 children, all born in Norway: "Martin" Martinus, "Nels" Nils, "Mary" Berthe Maria, "Nettie" Antonetta Helena,Paulina Mathia, and "Julia" Juliane. They emigrated as a family to the US on the SS Favorite on June 28, 1849. She and her husband lived in Stockholm, Pepin Co., Wisconsin. After her husband's death in 1884, she remained in Stockholm and then moved to Roscoe, Goodhue County, Minnesota to live with her daughter Mary and her husband Hogan Johnson until her death on August 27, 1911.
