Funeral services for Elmer H. Hansen, 60, who died at Mercy hospital Tuesday morning after a long illness, will be Thursday at the Church of the Nazarene in Iowa City. Burial will be in Memory Gardens.

Mr. Hansen, who lived at 504 East Bloomington street, was a barber at University hospital during the 13 years he lived in Iowa City.

He was born at Quasqueton May 14, 1896, a son of J. P. and Christina Hansen Hansen. He moved to Independence with his parents and was reared there.

Me was married to Mabel Nelson at Independence in 1917. Mr. Hansen was a member of the Nazarene church.

Survivors include his widow; three daughters, Mrs. E. T. William of Des Moines, Mrs. Graham Crow of Iowa City, and Mrs. Carroll Troyer of Wellman; three sons, Melvin of Des Moines, Bernard of Iowa City, and Jack of Kansas City; 11 grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Earl Alderman of Waterloo.

One son, three sisters and one brother preceded him in death.

The Oathout funeral home is in charge of services.
