Port Neches - The funeral for Earl Paul Blanchard Sr., 85, of Port Neches, brother of Alice Opry of Vidor, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Bluff Memorial Park Gazebo in Port Neches under the direction of Pat A. Riley Funeral Home of Port Neches. Visitation was 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He died Thursday at Mid-Jefferson Hospital in Nederland.
A native of Abbeville, La., he was a longtime resident of Port Neches and a retired auto mechanic for Texaco Inc. Island Terminal in Port Arthur.
Survivors also include his wife, Irene Bourriague Blanchard of Port Neches; four daughters, Nancy Seaman of Buna, Jane Grudier of Conroe, and Betty Swinney and Shirley Dean, both of Woodville; three sons, Earl P. Blanchard Jr. of Warren, Jerry Blanchard of Groves, and Melvin Blanchard of Alvin; three borthers, Robert Blanchard of Port Neches, George Blanchard Jr. of Red River, N.M., and Walter Blanchard of Conroe; 25 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
