"LOUISE" A longtime resident of Baton Rouge, was 81 and a native of Dutchtown.

She was a former member of St. Gerard Majella Parish and a member of St. Thomas More Parish.

Before retiring in sales from D.H. Holmes Department Store in Delmont Village, she cared for children in her home.

Her most valuable possession was her family.

She is survived by her son, Richard Leroy Empson, and daughter-in-law, Marcia Smith Empson; two grandchildren, Ryan Logan Empson and Katelyn Marie Empson; and a great-grandson, John Taylor Empson, all of Baton Rouge; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Richert Empson; parents, Ozema and Alouise Arceneaux; seven sisters and four brothers.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Frederick Billings and the staff at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center for their care, the many family members and friends for their attention and support, the nurses, aids and staff of Hospice of Baton Rouge and her sitters.
