The son of Judge Peter and Abigail Burr, he was baptized on Sept. 8, 1700 in Fairfield, Conn. and married Abigail Sturges on Nov. 26, 1725 in Fairfield, Conn. He was a deputy to the General Court in Hartford for Fairfield at various times between 1730 and 1751, served as Quarter Master of the Fairfield trainband in May, 1726, appointed Justice from 1744-1755.
The children of Thaddeus & Abigail (Sturges) Burr (all born in Fairfield):
1. Sarah Burr b. Sept. 5, 1726
2. Abigail Burr b. March 24, 1729
3. Peter Burr b. April 27, 1731
4. Thaddeus Burr b. Aug. 22, 1735
5. Gershom Burr b. June 10, 1744
