Thomas C. Collins, 64, formerly of Butler, died Wednesday in Palm Coast, Fla.
Born April 10, 1948, in Butler, he was a son of the late Albert J. and Mildred (Beneigh) Collins.
He was a 1966 graduate of Butler High School and had worked for Servistar/American Hardware for 35 years.
Tom enjoyed bowling and fishing, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and NASCAR fan, and especially followed Jeff Gordon.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served with the U.S. Army.
Surviving are his wife, Maryann (Frenchak) Collins of Palm Coast, Fla., one son, Thomas Collins of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Susanne Gallagher of Butler; four stepchildren, Charles Biedenbach of Butler and Denene Biedenbach, Lorrie Lore and Danielle Collins, all of Palm Coast, Fla.; nine grandchildren; one brother, Larry (Pat) Collins of Butler; and four sisters, Judy (Smiley) Weiland of Butler, Patty Collins and Bill Young of Chicora, Darlene (Ray) Kaskie of Colorado and Diane (Brad) Winrader of Slippery Rock.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Collins; and two sisters, Kay Steele and Janice Scialabba.
COLLINS - Family and friends of Thomas C. Collins, who died Wednesday, May 2, 2012, will gather at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler. Everyone please meet at the church. The Rev. James Dolan, pastor, will officiate. Inurnment will follow in St. Peter's Parish Cemetery, Butler.
The Women's Council of St. Peter's will meet at 9:35 a.m. Friday at the church to recite the rosary.
