Selma- John L Eason, age 61, died Thursday at his home. Born July 20, 1950 in Johnston County, he was the son of Betty Mae Bass Eason of Selma and the late James Claude Eason. Mr. Eason was an accountant for AG Lee Oil Company for seventeen years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Coones officiating. Burial will follow in the Selma Memorial Gardens.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Carol R. Eason of the home; son, Timothy John Eason of Selma; daughter, Tammy Mae Baker and husband James of Kenly; brother, James C. Eason of Wilson's Mills; sister, Betty Lou Finez of Cary; and two grandchildren, Luther John Baker and Sarah Mae Baker.
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Tuesday just prior to the service.
