Burial will follow in Restlawn Cemetery with Jason Williams, Corey Miles, Jacob Williams, Cartritus Johnson Jr., Kenneth Wright and Kerry Wright serving as pallbearers. T. W. Miles, Tommy Miles, Willie Miles, Cartritus C. Johnson, Daluis Johnson, Alton Ray Jones and Ray Williams will serve as honorary pallbearers.
No formal visitation will be held.
Mrs. Ross died Tuesday evening, June 9, 2009, at her residence.
Daphne Gail Johnson was born Aug. 26, 1965, in Hopkins County, TX., the daughter of Ronnie Askew and Anna Miles.
She married Ken Ross Feb. 12, 1994, in Hopkins County.
Mrs. Ross was a registered nurse with Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church
Survivors include her parents, Anna Johnson and husband Cleatus of Sulphur Springs; father, Ronnie Askew of Houston; daughters, Delecia C. Hollins and Kendra G. Ross of Sulphur Springs; one granddaughter, Mackenzie B. Hollins; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Carla Johnson Houff and husband Albert of Texarkana, Kimberly Askew Webb and husband Charles, and LaKiesha Askew Law and husband Ken, all of Houston; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Tapp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
