Rose Marie Conard, 83, of Bloomington, died Wednesday at her residence. Born July 27, 1914, in Monroe County, she was the daughter of Everett and Cassie (Kerr) Smith. A registered nurse, she had worked for the Monroe County Community School Corp. for 26 years and for Public Health Nursing. She and her late husband, Glen Conard, also farmed. She was a graduate of Indiana University and a member of First United Methodist Church, the RN Club in Bloomington and the SEC Extension Homemakers Club. Survivors include one son, Robert Conard of Crown Point; one daughter, Susan Jordan of Peru; three sisters, Mary Fances Smith of West Lafayette, Ruth Libkie of Ellettsville and Joan Kennedy of Greenfield; five brothers, Ross Smith of Bloomington, Everett Smith of Rochester, Richard Smith of Walpole, NH, and John Smith of Campbellsburg; and three grandchildren. Services will be 10 am Saturday at Allen Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Emerson officiating. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 pm today at the funeral home.
