Born February 5, 1910 in Havice Valley, Mifflin County, she was a daughter of the late Herbert C. and Amanda C. [Romig] Wagner. Her husband, Clyde G. Bashore, died June 2, 1983.

are: children, Wayne O. Bashore, Mifflintown RR2, John O. Bashore, Mifflintown RR5; brothers and sisters, John E. "Eddie" Wagner, Mifflintown RR2, Paul M. Wagner, Mifflintown. RR3, Benjamin W. Wagner, Thompsontown RR1, Ruth P. Shank, Lewistown, Esther A. Ferrell, Clarks Summit, Rachael R. Sauers, Levittown; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, George W. Wagner, a sister, Mariam L. Henry, a grandson Roger C. Bashore, and a great-grandson, Jeremy R. Bashore.
She was a graduate of Milroy High School and Shippensburg Normal School. She was a member of Centre Lutheran Church, Mifflintown RR2, where she had served as organist for many years and had taught the Women's Bible Sunday School Class. She was also a member of Centre Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America. She was past secretary of the Women's Christian Temperance Union and was a member of the Juniata County Retired Teacher's Association.
She was an elementary school teacher for Juniata County School District, having taught at Flint School and Locust Run School, which were both one-room schools, before retiring from Walker Elementary School.
Services were held Saturday at Centre Lutheran Church, Mifflintown RR2, with Rev. Kerry Aucker officiating. Interment was in Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown.
