Mrs. Betty Jean Stoltz Boyles, 80, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Forsyth Co. on October 3, 1931 to the late Susan Fulp Stoltz and Oscar P. Stoltz. Mrs. Boyles was preceded in death by her sisters, Irene Stoltz, Margaret Herman and Barbara Ann Hutchins and her brothers, Howard, Earl, Ed and Phil. On May 23, 1951 she was married to Bobby Claud Boyles Sr., who survives her. They celebrated almost 61 years of marriage. Also surviving are her three children, Bobby C. Boyles Jr. of Walnut Cove, Martha (Keith) White of Rural Hall and Karen (Shawn) Borgen of Winston-Salem; six grandchildren, Wesley (Hope) Boyles of Winston-Salem, Austin Boyles and Ashley Boyles of King, Devin (Sarah) Booze of Asheville, Katelyn James and Nicholas Borgen of Winston-Salem; one great-grandchild, Caleb; a sister, Ruth (Denson) Mabe of Walkertown and a brother, Aubrey (Jean) Stoltz of Walkertown. A graveside service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2012 at Walnut Cove Cemetery with Rev. Jason Harvey officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 this evening May 13, 2012 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
