Troy -- Katie Belle Frary, a Troy resident for the past 35 years, died of causes related to age Wednesday evening at Gritman Memorial Hospital at Moscow. She was 77.

Mrs. Frary was born Dec. 7, 1907, the daughter of Richard and Alice Wood. On June 2, 1950, she married Andrew Frary at Moscow, and the couple settled at Troy. Mr. Frary died Dec. 7, 1969.

Mrs. Frary cared for elderly people in their homes and in her own for many years. She was a member of the Troy Nazarene Church.

Survivors include three sons, L.C. Tubb of Troy, and L. Darwin Tubb and Aubrey C. Tubb, both of Centerville, Texas; a daughter, Alice Chandler of Houston; two brothers, Cecil Wood and Deb Wood, both of Centerville; and a sister, Jean Bateman, also of Centerville; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service for her will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Moscow Cemetery with the Rev. Edward Lykens of the Troy Nazarene Church officiating.

The family suggests memorials be given to the Troy Nazarene Church or the Troy Ambulance Fund.

Short's Funeral Chapel at Moscow is handling the arrangements.
