Funeral services for Arthur C Bryant, 80, will be held in the Gaskill Chapel Friday at 2 p.m. Rev. John Meadows, pastor of University Baptist Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.
Mr. Bryant died Saturday morning in Venice, Fla.
He was born October 10, 1881, in Bosworth, Mo. He lived in Shawnee from 1947 until the death of his wife, Mrs. Mary Alice Bryant, May 24, 1960, when he went to make his home in Venice, Fla., with his daughter.
Mr. Bryant fell and broke his hip six weeks ago. Mr. and Mrs. Bryant married July 2, 1905 in Earlsboro. He was a member of the University Baptist Church, the Masonic Lodge, Sulphur; and Odd Fellows Lodge in Earlsboro.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ray Allen, Venice, Fla.; a brother, Harve Bryant, Shawnee; two granddaughters, Mrs. Mary A. Drain, Arlington, Va., and Martha Bond, Venice, Fla.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mrs. A. H. Barrett, Gage, Okla.; Mrs. S. Bryant, Shawnee; Mrs. W. Barrett, Shawnee, Mrs. Ike Barrett, McLoud, Mr. and Mrs. Arch Barrett, Earlsboro; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Barrett, California; Mr. and Mrs. Don Covey, Earlsboro and Mr. and Mrs. George Odell Seminole.
