Found in The State 29 April 1999: Charleston-Services for Caroline Knowlton Lipscomb, 92, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 30, 1999, at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Charleston, with burial at 1:30 p.m. in Elmwood Cemetery. Mrs. Lipscomb, widow of Charles Thomas Lipscomb Jr., died Monday, April 26, 1999, at her residence. Born in Columbia, May 22, 1906, she was a daughter of Augustus B. Knowlton, M. D. and Claudia Earle Knowlton. She was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her daughters, Caroline L. Winn of New York City, Claudia L. Douglass of Galletin, Tenn.; son Charles Thomas Lipscomb III of Dallas; five grandchildren; sister, Claudia K. Finlay of Columbia.
