Reality TV Personality. Guist was born, raised, and lived his entire life in the same house his grandparents once occupied on Conway Bayou. Along with his brother, Glenn, he was a backwoods hunter, trapper and fisherman. His experience wrangling and catching alligators made him an unlikely reality televison star of The History Channel's, "Swamp People", which documented swamp life across miles of inhospitable bayous, marshes and wetlands. Guist died after collapsing on his boat of an apparent seizure while navigating Louisiana's Belle River.
